Ship model Yamato All new tooling.
This 1/350 model (length 73cm at the waterline) reproduces the legendary Japanese battleship Yamato in the configuration of its last mission.
It was sunk on April 7, 1945 at 14:20, 200km off Okinawa.
The kit has nothing in common with the kit ref 78014 initially released in 1979.
It benefits from the latest technological advances in design and molding.
Possibility of presentation of the whole hull (on ber provided) or waterline on diorama.
Shapes of the bow, sides and stern reproduced to perfection.
Assembly of the hull elements by screws ensuring a great robustness
The main deck is attached to the hull with screws.
90% of the details of the main deck and superstructures are patched for greater realism and ease of painting.
The main turrets are mobile and their base below deck level is reproduced.
The sleeves at the base of the main turret gun tubes are made of white elastomer, as well as the representations of the sandbags protecting the anti-aircraft positions.
The tubes of the main turrets can be presented lifted of 3° or 30° thanks to the assembly on nylon rings.
The rotation and elevation of the secondary turrets as well as the AA 12.7mm and 25mm mounts are possible.
The mast elements are molded in ABS for greater robustness.
Ladders, radar antennas and cranes in photoetch.
Metal propeller shafts.
Rudders mounted on nylon bushings (mobile)
Aerial park (seaplanes) and drome (tender boats) entirely reproduced in their smallest details.
Stern hangar doors open or closed.
