Heller’s technicians used original drawings, including a shape survey carried out by the Count d’Estaing in 1772, to offer a faithful reproduction of this 1st-rate vessel, armed with 120 cannons, including 32 of 36 caliber. The Royal Louis was a lead ship of the Blue-White squadron and was part of the American squadron of the Count d’Estaing during the years 1779-1780. It is an emblematic ship that is distinguished by the richness of its castle, whose balconies are considered masterpieces of naval architecture. This model is a meticulous reproduction of its dimensions and features, including the hull, artillery, and rigging, creating a highly accurate model for history and modeling enthusiasts.
