Twenty years after the release of the Leopard 2 A6 at 1/35 (35271) in 2004, Tamiya offers a Leopard 2 A7V kit with completely new parts. The Leopard 2 A7V is an improved version of the A7, itself an improved version of the A6. The “V” in the designation stands for “verbessert” (improved). It has additional armor at the front of the body and side skirts for better protection. The suspension was also improved to support the additional weight of the tank. The A7V inherits the 120mm L/55 cannon from the A6, but thanks to new ammunition, the A7V can attack enemy armor up to a distance of five kilometers. Units began receiving the A7V in September 2021 and the A7Vs have benefited from other improvements such as storage boxes on the top of the turret and at the sighting system.

Length: 320mm, width: 110mm.• Thanks to long studies and measurements on the real vehicle, the shapes of the Leopard 2 A7V are meticulously reproduced with all its specificities, square headlights, additional front armor and the rear part of the redesigned turret.• Photo-etched metal parts for the cooling grilles and side turret baskets.
• Injected plastic tracks made up of independent sections and skids (snap assembly).
• Two figurines (torsos) of crew members (chief and outfitter) included. Heads with beret or helmet.
• Three marking options for the 393rd or 104th Panzer Battalions.
• Decals for uniform badges and self-adhesive masks for transparent parts.
